Nestled between three of our nation’s most historic areas;
Colonial Williamsburg,
Jamestown, and Yorktown is where you’ll find our wonderful community.

New Town is among a handful of places nationwide that have broken the mold on traditional development and thrive as different land uses vibrantly coexist. Paul Milana, a New York-based architect and urban designer, was part of the team that designed New Town. He says most suburban communities that developed in the latter half of the 20th century are the product of “the misguided notion that land uses need to be separated from one another for necessity.” He says that housing, retail and corporate buildings were intentionally separated. This became so ingrained in the American idea of growth that many planning departments outlawed development that incorporated more than one type of use.

Stroll through New Town today and you’ll find features that are missing from so many places across the country. It’s a community pulsing with life – professionals who work near their homes, shopkeepers who know residents and visitors alike on a first-name basis, companies that have shunned the office park for a much more energetic setting. It’s becoming clear that, above all, people want convenience, and that’s what New Town offers. It is one of the nation’s premier communities that is living proof of this fusion’s value as a recipe for happiness and prosperity. New Town is the result of a unique joint venture between The Endowment Association of the College of William & Mary and C.C. Casey Limited Company.
