~~There are two problems everyone will face in their lifetime, aging and dying. Are you prepared to have the hard discussion with your friends, family and loved ones?
Edgeworth Park at New Town and Intrepid Hospice invite you to a panel discussion with Dr. Sarita Golikeri, Dr. Richard Hatch, and Gilda Niknezhad on how to best address the hard task of making end of life choices with your loved ones.
There will be a viewing of the PBS Frontline documentary, “Being Mortal”, that aired on February 2015 in which Dr. Atul Gwande discusses his personal journey with his father and how his experiences are now put into practice asking patients 5 very important questions he now asks every terminally ill patient. His experience led him to write the best-selling book, Being Mortal, showing that the ultimate goal is not a good death, but a good life – all the way to the very end. For more information about the film, visit http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/being-mortal/. The film is adapted from Gwande’s 2014 nationally bestselling book of the same name.
